The power of a White BLAZER

I love a white blazer. I think it can add sophistication and elegance to an outfit, if styled correctly. We need this piece in our wardrobes, there are so many ways you can wear this crisp jacket. The white jacket can easily take you from a work event (with satin shorts and pumps) to a GNO (with silky tank and leather skinnies) to the weekend ( with a casual tank tank and trousers) and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I bought this blazer about a year and half ago and since I have worn the heck out it! one of my favorite things to do is to dress up a more dressy piece like this blazer and pair it with some thing really casual. I had to go through my archives for these pictures so don't mind the quality. I never found it intimidating and I have always been so sure that I can pull it off, am so comfortable throwing on a white blazer which tends to go with pretty much everything. I love the white blazer's in general so much because of their versatility and ever since I have literally gone dumb or oblivious to other blazers especially a black blazer, I personally find it so intimidating but am now trying to incorporate it into my style can't let clothes intimidate me.

Thank you for stopping by today and reading my blog. I am grateful for all of you. Have a fabulous weekend.

VINTAGE FLARES

Flares

Devotees to the skinny, this one isn't going to be easy!! The flares revival is still going strong!!! The 70s staple has come back around and am seeing this throwback fashion piece absolutely everywhere.
MyGood revisited its seventies archives for that pair of mega flares trousers..
Ummm wait a minute was I born by then nope lol, I  actually got these trousers from a local vintage shop in my area. We missed it twice so I am really happy that We got it this time!  I really love the prints and shape of these trousers. Woohoo I hope you guys enjoy today's post!!

It is hard to find something more universal and fitting than this blue hue print trousers. You can be sure that each look based on this item will become memorable.

From afar they can be confused with a maxi skirt, but a closer glance reveals their complicated and luxurious sophisticated look.

upped the sophistication by tying a collared  blouse on a pair of chic high-waisted flared trousers.

I chose lower cut for my bestie because  I didn't want to do mum flares, this girl is way cooler. She's getting out that midriff and she ain't afraid to show it.

Such flared low waist design is highlighting a drawstring and low pockets which is very convenient and in style.

Turquoise

Whatever you call this shade , blue-green or green-blue, peacock, teal- it's showing up everywhere. According to me its the colour of the season. Everyone desires to look pretty. There are some colours that bring out your beauty and make you look completely different. Turquoise would not only enhance your beauty but would also be different from other common colours. The meaning of the colour turquoise is open communication and clarity of thought.

Perfect pairings

When you blend blue, green and a dash gray you get a shade with great range. It works beautifully with almost any other color. It offsets white and creams, complements burgundy, mustard and other autumnal tones, and looks chic with brights.
Who doesn't want versatility?? But versatile doesn't mean boring.
You can match your dress with multiple accessories . usually silver goes with every shade of turquoise. Do not overload yourself with so much jewelry. A simple pendant,  bracelet and ring would complete your look.

Choosing the right type of jewelry to complement your dress depends on the occasion you are attending. The appropriate jewelry needs to be selected accordingly. For instance, a special occasion such as a wedding would require different jewelry to a night out on the town. Remember the rule of thumb when it comes to jewelry – if you are going to make a statement with bold jewelry, choose one statement piece only – wear bright earrings OR necklace – never both together.

What shoes to pair with Turquoise dress?

Shoes are a vital part of any outfit and very often make a statement of their own, so it is important to choose your shoes carefully when putting together an outfit. Once again, choosing the correct shoe for an outfit would depend on the occasion – a day at the beach would call for a very different type of shoe than dinner at an expensive restaurant.

1. For formal occasion- Formal occasions call for a pair of beautiful shoes and whether you prefer wearing flats or heels, choosing correct style and color of the shoe is important. If you are wearing a dress in a light shade of turquoise, choose a soft color shoe, such as cream, pale gold or soft silver. Summer calls for open, strappy sandals or high heels while closed shoes or high heels are better in winter. Peep toe shoes are great for both summer and winter and look best in soft colors.

2. For informal occasion- A great pair of shoes can make a statement of their own and if you are wearing a turquoise dress to an informal occasion or simple day wear, then you can get away with wearing a slightly bolder color shoe. Stick with the cooler colors of blues, greens, purples and grays, rather than going for warmer colors such as reds, yellows and oranges as these will clash with the turquoise. Pair your dress with a darker pair of shoes to make a statement and attract attention to your feet or go for a lighter shade of shoe if you want the attention to be drawn to your dress

DIY. My Ankara outfit.. no sewing

This tutorial is quick and easy its not everybody who has a machine.
You will need:
1. a pair  of scissors (fabric scissors preferred)
2. Safety pins
3. A ruler or tape measure (if you like measuring things)
4. Fabric glue
5. Lastly the ankara fabric 2yards (2meters)

Step 1

1st cut out a small piece of fabric to use as a waistline or belt.

Step 2

Spread out your fabric
Create a pleat and use a safety to hold it together (fold& use pin to tuck)
Continue doing that until the that
The end result should look like this.

Or
If you don't need pins, simply fold the fabric over a belt or a rope, gather the fabric on the belt and tie around your waist. Then wear a bold belt over it instead of the cutout fabric.

 Step 3

That's it you are done!!
wrap it around your waist and pin it up.
Fold that piece of fabric and cover the pins on the waistline of your skirt. It will look like a a belt.
Easy right....

For the crop

top I actually didn't do much. You can see from the pictures.

SHOES

I used the remaining pieces from the fabric belt to design it and super glue..

How to style Camo Pants...

For those who aren't the most in tune with their fashion side, the word "camouflage" may sound a bit daunting at first. I was a little hesitant about buying a pair of camo print but yeah finally decided to try my luck with the camo leggings.. actually I found out that camouflage pants are indeed versatile and will probably work with the clothes you already have in your closet.
Don't be afraid to pair your new camo pants with, well, pretty much anything in your closet, the sky is the limit.
And the point of the trend is to look unexpected and unique.
Below are my tips on how to style camo or army print pants!
Mix prints but exercise caution. I think camouflage would look great with certain tie-dyes, plaids, etc
The easiest way to wear camo is to pair it with plain colours, black, white & grey. Add casual or formal jackets, this way your chic camo will steal the show. Up the ante by wearing heels, all sorts of heels, skinny stilleto sandals or pointy pimps. A really fashionable heel can make things fashion forward.
Color pairings and be girly. The camo print is innately masculine, so frill it up. Color choices like cream pair well with the camouflage print. Accessorize with sparkles, scalves, I like how gold and navy accessories look with this print.
Mix prints, polka dots, denim shirts and leopard print look extremely good with camo. The trick is to make sure neither pattern is too eye-catching or brightly coloured. You want to look street style chic not like a walking hot mess.
This is one of the most basic and most versatile way you can rock camouflage pants. Wear this outfit with a statement necklace an edgy clutch for a night in town or pair the look with lace up platform boots a messenger bag to class... the possibilities are endless.

Simple Ways To Improve Your Style

Today`s post is for GUYS  who want to improve their style dramatically with little effect but do not know where to start. here are some tips to follow.

1. Flattering fitting outfit
Your clothes should seductively fit your shape and look like they have been hand made for you, strike a balance between your clothing and fitness. The most common mistake men do when dressing up is to wear clothes without a proper fit. The moment you put something and begin to question whether its too big or too small its definitely not a great fit.
As younger children you wore the oversize hand-me-downs of the older ones and attempt to add some weight and cover up your tiny frame, but if you're a  grown man, you can no longer get away with this.
Be in conformity with your clothes, wear the right size and well suited clothes, clothes which fit like a glove..  well am not saying wear anything too tight, it doesn't look good on man.
Even if you are muscular women would rather it be a mystery of what's underneath..

This is an example of a perfect  fit not too tight not too baggy, well suited you can never go wrong..

2. Pants rules
Your pants should always be the right length make sure of that. Show off some ankle or a cool pair of patterned socks. When you are standing they shouldn't be too much fabric bunched up around your ankle.
Do not under any circumstances deliberately get a bigger size to try and create a baggier effect, do you really want to look like a walking weight loss advertisement!  I doubt that.
Avoid glancing at the size and assume it will perfectly fit you instead pay attention to how things look on you. When you are shopping at the store always try things on before paying for them.

For that special meeting, you can wear the right size of pants that fit perfectly well pair it up with a coat and do not forget to add male accessories , a scalf  and you my guy, have just hit a master stroke.

If its a perfect fit but then too LONG  I suggest you follow this trend tuck it up a little, fold it or hem it, either way look stylish

3. Shoes are judicial
Many have heard shoes are the first thing women look at, while that may not be literally true shoes display an incalculable amount of personality and taste. Its pretty much all women have to look at to quickly judge what league you belong to.
Your shoes can make or break your entire outfit, if every other part of your outfit is perfectly on point but your shoe's aren't at par or equilibrium, you will look like a guy trying to look stylish not one who effortlessly is. No matter how well you dress above your shoes, your shoes really sum it up all make sure you have a complete look from head toe and always remember to keep your shoes clean.

4. When in doubt keep it simple
If you don't know where to start start with the basics we all want to stand out but lets do it the right way not the wrong way. The right way will get people compliment your style.
Throwing on a rocker shirt and some ripped jeans won't magically turn you into a sex god. It has to be put together in a right way..the guys who know how to do flair  know how to do simple, they can take a normal dress shirt match it right with v-neck  sweater the right jeans and shoes and still stand out in a great way throw in a hot pair of shades into the mix and they're golden.

A black leather jacket over a graphic tee and matching black short ... simple but sophisticated.

For those boring college lectures, simply wear polo long sleeve t.shirt with printed pants and accentuate the look with a scalf,  but make sure the color of your prints  match  with your polo, you definitely don`t want to look like a Christmas tree.

Team your  hot cargo shorts with a classic stylish t.shirt pair it with appropriate casual sneakers , not your running sneakers. Add shades for that killer look.

Thats it for today hope you got some tips from this post thank you for stopping by...
